What is permanent jewelry?

Permanent jewelry (sometimes also called “forever” jewelry) is a custom fit chain welded around your wrist, ankle, or neck without a clasp, so every piece is a perfect fit and you never have to take it off! Every chain style we carry is made out of solid 14k gold, never gold fill or sterling silver, making them durable enough to swim with, sleep in, and go on all your adventures with without fear of your chains tarnishing or irritating your skin. The welding process itself is completely painless and the whole appointment generally takes about fifteen to twenty minutes.

Please note - due to seasonal attire like thick socks and winter boots and the delicate nature of solid 14k gold, we only offer anklets during the summer months.

What does it cost?

We charge a $30 welding fee for the first chain, plus the cost of the chain you choose! Each additional chain after the first during the same appointment is a discounted $15 fee plus the cost of the chain itself.

Chains are priced by the inch and pricing varies depending on the style. Our least expensive chain style is $9 per inch, and our most expensive chain style is $25 per inch. Everyone’s body is different, so we can’t guarantee you’ll fall exactly into these size ranges, but below we have approximate average lengths for each type of chain so you can get an idea of cost for each.

Bracelets - 6-8 inches

Anklets - 8-12 inches

Necklaces - 14-18 inches

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, appointments are required! You can book directly through this page. We offer these appointments Wednesday-Saturday from 11am to 6pm at our Elmwood location. If no times show up on your desired date, we’re either already fully booked or that date is not within our 30 day booking cycle, so check back later.

Where are the appointments?

At CowPok Elmwood, located at 111 Elmwood Avenue! Look for a large brick building with an iron gate, right next door to Moxie Hair Salon.

THE DEPOSIT

When you book an appointment, you will be required to pay your $30 welding fee as a deposit to hold your appointment. This will cover the service fee (you’ll pay for your jewelry during your appointment) and is non-refundable. Make sure you hang on to your confirmation email, as you will be able to reschedule or cancel your own appointment through your confirmation email. You will not receive your deposit back if you cancel, but you can reschedule your appointment to another time and your deposit will carry over.

Please remember that Spark appointments are only offered at COWPOK ELMWOOD. Showing up at the wrong CowPok location will void your deposit and you will need to rebook.

Please note that permanent jewelry appointments are only approximately 15 minutes long. If you are more than five minutes late to your appointment, we will not have time to complete your service and you will forfeit your deposit.

How do I remove the jewelry?

We’re happy to help quickly and safely remove your jewelry for you free of charge, but if you’re in an emergency situation and need to remove your jewelry right away, you can use scissors or nail clippers to snip the chain off yourself. As long as you still have your chain and it’s undamaged from removal (during installation we’ll go over the best way to remove them without damaging them), we can weld it back on for you for a $10 fee! Unfortunately we cannot replace chains that have been lost, you would need to purchase a new chain if your chain has been lost or irreparably damaged.

You don’t need to make an appointment for chain removal, however please remember that these services are only offered on Thursdays and Fridays. Calling ahead is recommended.

Can we come together?

Absolutely! Please book separate appointments for each person to ensure we have enough time to accommodate everyone, and each person will need to leave their own deposit. If you’re interested in a private group session for a special event for four or more people, reach out to us at sparkpermanentjewelry@gmail.com so we can assist you with scheduling!

Is there an age limit?

Due to kids growing quickly and the somewhat delicate nature of gold, you must be at least 12 to get permanent jewelry. All minors must bring a legal guardian to their appointments.
